Mahjong 101

  • WHITE CHAPEL PROJECTS 15 2nd Avenue Long Branch, NJ, 07740 United States (map)

Mahjong is a really fun game that comes from China! It's kind of like a mix of cards and a puzzle, but instead of cards, you use special tiles with cool pictures and symbols on them. Come learn how to play. Grab a friend, drinks and dinner at the same time. For Mahjong Class tickets: Click Here

How It Works:

  • Tiles: There are 144 tiles, and they have different designs, like circles, bamboo, and Chinese characters.

  • Matching Sets: The goal is to collect sets of tiles, like three of the same kind or a straight (like 1, 2, 3).

  • Taking Turns: Players pick up and get rid of tiles, trying to complete a winning hand before anyone else.

  • Winning: When a player has the right sets, they say "Mahjong!" and win the round!
